DERIVATIVE FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS - MAIN TYPES, CHARACTERISTICS AND TRENDS ON THE GLOBAL MARKET

Abstract


In the last ten years there has been a significant increase in the interest of economic subjects in the use of different types of derivative financial instruments in order to manage the risk and to achieve higher efficiency of their activity. The subject of this article is the typology of these instruments as well as the trends related to their use on the market. Knowledge of the main features of derivative instruments will help individual economic actors in their work in choosing a particular type of a derivative instrument for their specific purposes.
