KNOWLEDGE OF BULGARIAN PATIENTS WITH REGARD TO THE OPTIMAL FREQUENCY OF PREVENTIVE LUNG SURVEYS

Tanyo Stefanov

Abstract

The main purpose of our study was to investigate the knowledge of Bulgarian patients on the question 'Do you know how often do you think a lung prophylactic examination should be done?'. Our goal was to understand to what extent the respondents were really familiar with the modern requirements and standards for good pulmonary prophylaxis and to what extent the actual behavior of patients matches their knowledge. We found that the majority of the respondents were not aware of what the frequency of prophylactic lung examinations should be (84.44 ± 0.23%).
