Abstract

During the research in tobacco plantation with oriental tobacco ecotype Dupnitsa, variety Dupnitsa 733 were found: five representatives of the harmful entomofauna- Agrotis segetum Denis & Schiffermüller, Calliptamus italicus L., Helicoverpa armigera Hübner, Myzus persicae Sulzer and Thrips tabaci Lindeman; and eight representatives of the beneficial entomofauna- Aphidoletes aphidimyza Rondani, Coccinella septempunctata L., Dicyphus eskerlieni Wg., Harmonia axyridis Pallas, Hippodamia variegate Goeze, Macrolophus costalis Fieber, Orius sp. and Sphaerophoria sp. The species were reported in the period April-September. The cankerworm of A. segetum was first reported by the representatives of the harmful entomofauna at the end of April, and C. italicus with single representatives was found at the latest. Plant protection measures were carried out at the beginning of the vegetation in order to limit the economically important pests of tobacco.
