ETHICS IN HEALTHCARE

Abstract


This article aims to define the term 'health care ethics', summarize the key ethical principles for good medical practice, present the ethical codes that guide the medical profession and identify the qualities and virtues to which good doctors should strive. Key concepts in health ethics are examined, as well as major ethical issues related to health and health care. The challenges of applying ethical principles to global public health and practical strategies to address these challenges are illustrated.
