OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRODUCTION AND PROCESSING OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS IN BULGARIA

Valentina Marinova

Abstract

In Bulgaria, organic farming also enjoys a growing interest from producers and consumers. Unlike other agricultural sectors, organic production is growing not in percentages but in times. Bulgarian organic products have a good sales and are competitive on the European market, while the domestic market can be defined as emerging. The development of the agricultural sector in the conditions of organic production and processing of agricultural crops in the coming years will depend on its ability to modernize and renew, with innovation taking center stage. Innovation (innovation) is a change in order to introduce and use new types of consumer goods, new production technologies, markets and forms of organization. These include the use of new equipment, new technological processes or new market provision of production; the introduction of products with new biological properties; use of new sources of raw materials; changes in the organization of production and its material and technical provision; providing new markets for realization. This development includes all types of crops suitable for organic farming in the area, regardless of their degree of novelty for the market and organic farming.
