HEALTHCARE EXPENDITURE AND COVID-19
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has created greater financial pressure on healthcare systems and institutions that have had to respond to the specific needs of infected patients while ensuring the safety of diagnosis and treatment for all other patients and healthcare professionals.
The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) outbreak poses a serious threat to global health, with an unprecedented impact on health, society and the global economy
With the coronavirus disease (COVID 19) pandemic, one of the main concerns is the direct medical costs and resource utilization burden placed on the health care system.
