ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE MANAGEMENT

Abstract


This paper examines organizational change as an inevitable process in today’s dynamic environment and focuses on the strategies used to manage it effectively. It analyzes the external and internal forces driving change and identifies three primary types of transformation: adaptive, innovative, and radically renewing change. Based on these types, five strategic approaches are presented: directive, negotiation-based, normative, analytical, and action-oriented strategies. The paper also explores models for strategic development—reactive, actively specialized, and systematically proactive—as well as the concept of real-time change. It identifies key factors influencing the choice of strategy, including the level of resistance, change tempo, leadership dynamics, and information requirements. The study emphasizes the role of the manager in making flexible, informed, and timely decisions to ensure successful adaptation and innovation.
